Child Care
Child care costs have risen 5% while real wages have fallen 10% from 2009-2017, according to Connecticut Voices for Children. These costs hinder the economic engagement and mobility of families with young children.
DanburyWORKS is creating lasting change for the future of Danbury through two phases; the first we call TLC:
Trust * Language * Child Care
- Child care. DanburyWORKS will increase access to affordable and high-quality child care by:
- Recruiting and licensing 20 new family child care providers to offer affordable, high-quality care for children;
- Increasing the accessibility and quality of current child care programs for parents who work evenings and weekends.
